Nach einem guten Frühstück mit Cheese-Omelett, Butter-Toast und Milk-Tea (über die Qualität des Essens können wir uns auf  der gesamten Tour nie beklagen) Aufbruch um 9 Uhr. Zunächst geht es auf altbekannter Strecke bis Syampoche. Wenig später breitet sich unter uns das Dorf Khumjung aus. Und wiederum eine fantastische Bergsicht auf Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Tramserku. Khumjung (3 790 m) liegt zusammen mit dem Nachbarort Khunde in einer prachtvollen Mulde unterhalb des heiligen Khumbu Yul Lha (5761 m), des Schutzgottes des Khumbu. Der Berg ist immer schneefrei und darf nicht bestiegen werden.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Der Weg ist trotz des Aufstiegs verhältnismäßig einfach und bereitet keine Probleme.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p></p> <p align="center"></p> <p align="center"></p> <p><b><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Khumjung:</tt></kbd></font></b></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Mit seinen zweistöckigen Häusern sowie den durch Steinmauern abgegrenzten Feldern ist Khumjung ein typisches Sherpadorf. Es wurde bereits vor ca. 500 Jahren gegründet und gilt deshalb als eine der ältesten Sherpasiedlungen überhaupt.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><tt><kbd>Interessant ist die </kbd><kbd><b>Gompa</b></kbd><kbd> des Ortes. Für ein kleines Trinkgeld bekommt der Besucher im Gebetsraum den einzigen überhaupt existierenden echten  Skalp von einem Yeti gezeigt. Zu sehen ist allerdings herzlich wenig.Das Panorama wird vor allem von dem herrlich geformten Ama Dablam beherrscht.</kbd></tt></font></p> <p></p> <p align="center"><font size="3" color="#f5fca3"
