Die ersten zweieinhalb Stunden sind eine gemütliche Wanderung im oder auch am Rande des nach Norden führenden, leicht ansteigenden zweiten großen Haupttals. Tief unter uns, auf der anderen Talseite, liegt Pheriche. Dort werden wir auf dem Rückmarsch übernachten.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">In einem der wenigen Gasthäuser des malerischen Örtchens Dughla auf 4 620 m gönnen wir</font></tt></kbd><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3"> </font></tt></kbd><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">uns eine ausgedehnte Lunchpause.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Im Anschluss erfolgt ein kräftezehrender und ziemlich steiler Aufstieg über 250 Meter.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Oben angelangt, treffen wir auf unzählige kleine und große Chörten, ein erhebender und zugleich bedrückender Anblick. Viele wurden als Mahnmale für Sherpas, die am Everest ihr Leben gelassen haben, errichtet.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Der weitere Weg bis zum Etappenziel Lobuche auf 4 900 m Höhe verläuft über Geröll und karge Weiden. Dabei müssen auch einige Wasserläufe überwunden werden.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Insgesamt fünfeinhalb Stunden benötigen wir für diese erneut wunderschöne Tour.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3"><strong>Lobuche:</strong></font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Aufgrund des touristischen Andrangs entstand aus der einstigen Sommerweide Lobuche eine ganzjährig besiedelte kleine Ortschaft mit immerhin vier Lodges.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Am Nachmittag mache ich einen kleinen Rundgang. Es ist kalt geworden, die Temperatur liegt nur knapp über dem Gefriepunkt.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3"><strong>Von Lobuche nach Gorak Shep:</strong></font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Die Nacht war kalt, das Thermometer zeigt am Morgen 0 ° C an und ich habe ausnahmsweise schlecht geschlafen. Trotz des recht trüben Wetters ist die Stimmung gut.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Der am Rande des Khumbu Gletschers verlaufende Weg nach Goraks Shep steigt nur leicht an. Allerdings müssen dabei ganze Geröllhalden überwunden werden. Wir bewegen uns nur noch im Zeitlupentempo mit keuchender Lunge voran.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Leider hat die bisherige Einsamkeit jetzt endgültig ihr Ende gefunden, zahlreiche Trekker und selbst ganze Reisegruppen sind unterwegs.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Nach drei Stunden ist unsere Lodge in Gorak Shep erreicht.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3"><strong>Gorak Shep:</strong></font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Der höchste Übernachtungsort des Khumbu mit festen Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten liegt auf einer Höhe von 5 200 m ü.d.M. In Anbetracht dieser Umstände sind die beiden Lodges von Gorak Shep überraschend komfortabel eingerichtet. Natürlich darf man keine Wunderdinge erwarten und die hygienischen Verhältnisse sind gleich Null. Wir befinden uns immerhin 400 m über dem Gipfel des Mont Blanc.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Gott sei dank klappt es trotz des Besucheransturms mit einer Schlafgelegenheit und ich habe auch hier einen kleinen Zweibettraum für mich allein.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Hoch über uns beherrscht der Pumori die Szene.</font></tt></kbd></p> <p><kbd><tt><font size="3" color="#f5fca3">Gorak Shep dient als Ausgangspunkt für Touren zum Everest Base Camp, sowie zum Kala Pattar, dem Aussichtsgipfel mit dem
