Eine gute Morgengymnastik. Nach knapp 3 Stunden erreichen wir die Zwischenstation </kbd><kbd><b>Dole</b></kbd><kbd> (4 040 m). Erstmals in meinem Leben überschreite ich die 4 000 m und trotzdem kein Anflug von Höhenkrankheit. Nach dem Lunch Aufstieg auf 4 250 m. Die Lungen keuchen und der Vorsatz, möglichst mit geschlossenem Mund zu atmen, wird zur bloßen Theorie. Trotzdem bin ich gut drauf, langsam gewöhnt sich der Körper an die täglichen Anstrengungen.Wir befinden uns jetzt auf einem herrlichen, gut begehbaren Höhenweg. Die Vegetation hier oben wird zunehmend spärlich. Der Cho Oyu (8 153 m) am Nordende des Tals zeigt sich bald in seiner vollen Größe. In der einzigen einfachen Lodge des kleinen, nur aus wenigen Häusern bestehenden Ortes </kbd><kbd><b>Luza</b></kbd><kbd> erfolgt eine letzte Pause. Mit Milchtee, dem nepalesischen Nationalgetränk, genießen wir die Aussicht. Dann geht es weiter stetig bergauf und acht Stunden nach unserem Aufbruch in Phortse Drengka ist das Tagesziel </kbd><kbd><b>Machermo</b></kbd><kbd> erreicht.Als Kommentar zu diesen Zeitangaben muss immer wieder gesagt werden, dass man erheblich schneller sein kann. Wir haben hingegen genügend Zeit, machen reichlich Pausen, auch um die fantastischen Ausblicke zu genießen und im Bild festzuhalten.</kbd></tt></font></p> <p></p> <p align="center"></p> <p align="center"></p> <p><b><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Machermo:</tt></kbd></font></b></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Unser Übernachtungsort Machermo liegt in einer Senke 4 450 m hoch.Wir sind die einzigen Gäste in der großen Namgyal Lodge . Sicherlich wird sich das bald ändern. Allerdings ist das Gokyo-Tal für viele Trekker, sehr zu Unrecht, weniger interessant. Die meisten Khumbu-Besucher beschränken sich auf den direkten Weg zum Everest-Base-Camp.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p></p> <p align="center"><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt><a
