Es geht unablässig steil hinauf und hinunter. Etwas über 3 Stunden benötigen wir für die 6 km.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p></p> <p align="center"></p> <p align="center"></p> <p><b><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Phortse:</tt></kbd></font></b></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Mit dem, wie auf einer Terrasse in 3 800m Höhe gelegenen Ort, haben wir das Gokyo-Tal verlassen. Da Phortse Ausgangspunkt für die vielbegangene Route zum Everest-Basecamp ist, nimmt auch die Zahl der Trekker merklich zu. Unsere Übernachtungsstelle, das von einem Sherpa, der als Expeditionsführer bereits auf dem Gipfel des Everest stand, geführte, verhältnismäßig komfortable Phortse Guesthouse , ist nahezu ausgebucht.                         Viele Sherpas, die als Begleiter und Führer von Expeditionen tätig sind, haben es zu Wohlstand gebracht und das verdiente Geld in eigene Lodges oder Guesthäuser angelegt.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Am Nachmittag mache ich einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang durch dieses typische Sherpadorf, dessen, von Kartoffeläckern umgebene Häuser in gebührendem Abstand voneinander liegen.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Endlich gelingt es mir auch, Kinder zu fotografieren. Zur Belohnung gibt es Bonbons.</tt></kbd></font></p> <p><font size="3" color="#f5fca3" face="serif"><kbd><tt>Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Bewohnern Nepals lassen sich die erwachsenen Sherpas im Khumbu nur selten ablichten.
