Der anfangs recht ordentliche Weg führt zunächst  bergab. Mit dem Erreichen des an seinem Anfang sehr engen </kbd><kbd><b>Gokyo-Tals</b></kbd><kbd> wird die Strecke zunehmend schwieriger. Auf schmalen Wegen, vorbei an steilen Abhängen von oftmals mehreren hundert Metern Tiefe, geht es zum höchsten Punkt des Tages, der kleinen Alp </kbd><kbd><b>Mong</b></kbd><kbd>, auf  3 970 m.Nach insgesamt dreieinhalb Stunden erreichen wir unseren Übernachtungsort Phortse Drengka. Eigentlich hatte ich geplant, bis Dole weiterzumarschieren, jedoch das eine ist der Plan und das andere die Realität.
